In hallow to respond to poesy the lector must experience or connect with the emotion that the write displays in a rime. The numbers Oranges by Gary Soto displays elements of symbolism, imagery, and tone that were harming for me as a lector to be interested in this poem. What drew me in to this particular poem is that the boy had a branch duration experience with a missy and first time experiences unremarkably stick with a person. That allowed me to remember similar experiences like my first kiss or my first child. Soto used narrative poetry in this poem allowing it to feel more like a short tier than a poem. This allowed me to understand it better without having figurative language. One of the of import elements Soto chose to use is symbolism, which means a war cry or object that has a literal meaning and it stands for something else.
